Mia Schmallenbach’s Meeting Knives set features a brilliant design allowing four different kitchen knives: a paring knife, a carving knife, a chef’s knife and a filleting knife to all stack inside each other on a single block of steel. The proportions of each knife were apparently determined by the Fibonacci sequence.
Knives are an essential cooking tool to me. More so than all sorts of fancy choppers, blenders, lettuce dryers and so on. I just HATE when the knife sucks and you try to slice a tomato for example.
This one is a bit pricey for my wallet, but nevertheless one I could consider saving for.
Wow, awesome! The fibonacci sequence is constantly found in the world of creation when it comes to spirals and self-similarity. Usually flowers will have a fibonacci amount of numbers. I learned this all quite a while ago, which is why I’m so danged fascinated.
